"WALT Labs was key to our ability to shorten the learning curve and successfully deploy our application."
Russel Treat, CEO/President, EnerSys Corporation
Partner Role in Project
WALT Labs worked with EnerSys to develop its MVP sales demo platform into a cloud native architecture. This simplifies the process of EnerSys deploying new demo environments reliably and efficiently.
Challenge
EnerSys is currently looking to take its current pipeline operations application, ComplyMgr, to the market. Prior to our involvement, this required setting it up bare metal installations per client. This is a time-consuming task, both in server resources and deployment time. EnerSys was looking for a method to deploy new sales demos for control room operators in a much quicker and more efficient manner.
The Solution
Working with EnerSys, WALT Labs was able to develop a base platform within GCP that would allow for the addition and removal of demo applications in a quick and timely manner. This was achieved by setting up their MS-SQL DB within Cloud SQL, a storage bucket for shared files and working to develop scripts to manage their compute instances.
The Result
EnerSys was able to reduce the time to deploy demo environments quite significantly. During the work on this project, EnerSys was able to see the value GCP added to their operation, as well as pinpoint other GCP offerings that would be advantageous to utilize in current and future projects as they move forward to market.
